Yeah Buddy! It’s Friday! You might have got kicked around all week, yelled at, cussed out, broke down, sold out, let up, let go, broke up, broke down, beat down, downgraded, down cast, cast down, outcast, but it doesn’t matter because there is light at the end of the tunnel. “Our deepest fear isn’t that we are inadequate, but powerful beyond measure.” It’s like Rocky said “it’s not about how are you’re hit, its about how many times you get hit and keep moving forward.” So work hard and you can take those steps to achieve what you want most in life. When it comes to pain...

Testing Light in studio
I’ve recently been expanding my knowledge in photography, in terms of lighting. Photography, in essence, is understanding the principles of light and being a master of manipulating light. It’s been a long road for me, and I’ve come so far and have such a long way to go but one thing I have learned is that that its one thing to “know” and its another to try it out. I’ve been watching videos, reading books, and slowly my images have been getting a bit more dimension and technical...

In case you are wondering… I’m an actual media source… Kanoautler.com is a blog that not only allows you to see my photography, but also it is a way for me to cover events that are happening mostly in the bay area but really everywhere and anywhere I am. It's been almost one year since I truly started off this "photography thing" and I can't believe how much I was able to do in a year! I was able to: shoot for the largest fashion show in the west coast, photography a handful of weddings, travel to haiti and photo-journal my experience, work with a few dozen models, be ringside of a muay thai competition, capture amazing portraits of couples, families, and children, post a handful of photography and so much more! I went from just a few hundred views a month on this site to on average about 1,000± views a month and hope to continue in that trend...

Muay Thai Showdown 2010
Originally uploaded by fhfotos
I have been working the last month on networking with athletes as well as coaches in an attempt to diversify my portfolio. I love sports, especially when it involves contact paired with technique. So, you could imagine the joy pulsating throughout my body when I received the news notifying me that I would have the privilege to work with Dan Black, the Muay Thai coach for the Cesar Gracie Fight Team. Dan was able to get me into a shoot as one of two VIP ringside photographers for the Showdown 2010 @ Six Flags...
