Lifestyle Modeling Portaits: Sophia

For Full Album Click the Photo: Child Model: Sophia, a photo by fhfotos on Flickr. I just completed a baby-modeling shoot! It was a bit different than normal portraits because of certain limitations but overall it was a great shoot! If you didn’t know when I’m not capturing images as a photographer I’m usually working with children. Kids are great because they usually feed off the energy that you come with so it’s great for me because I tend to be fairly energetic. The key to capturing great images is patience and timing. I’m not a fan of the spray and pray method; you take tons of images...

I’ve been really busy..but I wanted to take the time to thank all the moms out there that dealt with our whining, put up with our complaining, encouraged us when we were broken, Loved us when we were rejected, disciplined us when we were fools, It’s because of your love that we honor you today. The love of a mother always seems to amaze me… thanks for raising us up the best you could with what you had to work with somehow knowing...

You Get What You Pay For

For Full Album Click The Photo! Delilah a photo by fhfotos on Flickr. Full Slideshow Click Here! There’s one thing that always seems to change nearly anyone’s mood and that’s a baby smiling. I think one of the joys in life is the chance to see your child grow and develop to be the person that they are today. That’s where I come in. especially at a young age your child develops and goes through so many changes in the first few years of your life that it seems like they are changing every single moment on you at times. I know plenty of couples that went into Picture People and took...

2011 Here We Come!

It's been almost one year since I truly started off this "photography thing" and I can't believe how much I was able to do in a year! I was able to: shoot for the largest fashion show in the west coast, photography a handful of weddings, travel to haiti and photo-journal my experience, work with a few dozen models, be ringside of a muay thai competition, capture amazing portraits of couples, families, and children, post a handful of photography and so much more!  I went from just a few hundred views a month on this site to on average about 1,000± views a month and hope to continue in that trend...

Raising Awareness: Make a difference

Raising Awareness is great as long as there is a goal in mind. When I first thought about this I thought it was kind of silly to “raise awareness” for something but a good friend of mine explained it that the goal in mind is that when u see these images you will be reminded and hopefully it will spread so where someone out there somewhere can do something that will make a difference. Does one voice matter? Does one child matter? I guess if all this was done for one child I would still say it was worth it all…because to that child it meant the world for them. I did a cover song that my kids...

Getting That Studio Look

For the Full Album click the Photo: Sophia: diffused light Click Here For Slideshow! Originally uploaded by fhfotos It’s getting to be about that time! Well actually its pretty much a season... I just got my studio light and am looking to shoot family portraits for those who need a decent shot of their family Christmas pictures. Most of the time people have an idea of what they want their pictures to look like: some great background (maybe a favorite place outdoors, or by the fireplace, someplace rustic, or maybe some props they can have to add a certain mood or portray an idea with their...

Project Haiti: $1=1Life

For the Full Album click the Photo: Project Haiti: $1=1Life Click Here for Slideshow! Originally uploaded by fhfotos I’ve been to Brazil, Africa, Mexico, and I’ve seen poverty. I’ve seen destruction, heck; I was in the middle of a hurricane when I was just a young child. When poverty meets destruction, there becomes something that is when this turned down a road I’ve never treaded upon before. There’s something that happens in a person something that marks them when a life-changing event occurs that rocks your world. I can still remember that moment of where I was rushed to a family’s...

Getting Involved

For the Full Album click the Photo: Trip to Africa Originally uploaded by fhfotos Making Your Mark On the lives of others: Since I can remember I have always wanted to take part in something that was bigger than me. I wanted to help others, not just opening a door for someone but to make my mark in the lives of people. I personally believe that some of the greatest investments are in the wealth of your relationships. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing people’s stories, struggles, and even moments of success. I’ve done what I can do for the most part and I have learned in order to be successful...

Photographing Older Children

For the Full Album click the Photo: FabHeart Click Here For Slideshow! Originally uploaded by fhfotos I have had the privilege to shoot with Da’reen from Fabheart clothing line. She specializes in making young girl’s clothes that allow a little girl to feel like a princess when they wear her work. Her vibrant colors and animal print allow a child to imagine and play knowing that they can stand out from any other girl as they have the chance for that moment they are wearing her clothes to feel as if I’ve photographed TONS of kids ranging from newborns to late teens. Sometimes people...
