Why The Soldiers Miss Home..

I’m getting better… I just know it! It has been a long road to becoming closer to the photographer that I have wanted to be, I’m not there yet, but I am better today than I was yesterday. My good friend Jack Husting put it (and I paraphrase) “last years me can’t touch the new and improved Kanoa!” Photography is an art, and just like any good art, it takes time to develop and improve your craft. I took my longtime friend (she’s basically family to me) Erica Clark, who came in town after driving across the US to get here (Vass, NC). She was in town, and so we spent some time shopping and picking out an outfit (H&M) for this classy dress, that for some reason reminded me of Audrey Hepburn. Since Audrey Hepburn was the inspiration for the shoot I worked on scouting a classier location to match the outfit. The shots turned out great! I think it looks like it could’ve been pulled out of maybe Vogue Magazine waddayathink?
