Maldonado Wedding
I recently had the opportunity to photograph the Maldonado wedding. This particular wedding held great importance to me because of the history that preceded it. I began to take photography seriously back during my senior year of high school. At first, I was just interested in film; I loved acting, directing, editing, writing scripts, and also cinematography. I was extremely passionate about film and I wanted to grow and sharpen every one of my tools to become great. So, I took a photography class in attempts to sharpen my cinematographic eye. I needed a Film SLR (single lens reflex) and at the time did not have the money to purchase one. However, on the first day of class I had the privilege to meet a girl named Thalia who had just bought a Canon slr. She ended up not keeping the class, but noticed my passion, and without even asking she gave me my first camera. With that, I was able to shoot a handful of weddings including my first couple’s shoot. A few years went by and my passion for video had subsided, I ended up selling my video camera (canon XL1) and purchasing a dslr (digital Slr) Canon XS. Later that year, I discovered that Thalia was getting married, and I quickly messaged her to see if she needed a photographer for her wedding. To make a long story short, I ended up shooting her wedding and it turned out absolutely amazing. All in all, everything came full circle to create this great story about how my passion for photography was kindled.
